Thanks for sharing, Colleen! This made me stop and think. Susan Cooper and Madeleine L’Engle were the two most formative writers for me. I’d like to say it was mostly L’Engle, but I have to admit it was the warring nature of their ideas that did it. Love Charlotte’s Web, but there’s a SPIDER in it! Ewww.
